January Meeting: Race and Media Representations (1/25)

This month’s Racial Literacies meeting will be hosted by Clay and Philip Hollingsworth (both work at the Institute for the Arts and Humanities) on the topic of race and media representations. They’ve selected 2 readings and a viewing of “The Problem with Apu” by Hari Kondabalu.

We are all very busy, so if you aren’t able to either watch the entire film or read the articles, we still hope you will come to the January meeting, Thursday, January 25, 12:00-1:30pm in Toy Lounge, Dey Hall because we’re sure that you all have thoughts about race and media representations!

Please feel free to share info about this meeting with any of your department and unit list servs. We are especially eager for undergraduate students to join in the conversation about race.
Below are some streaming options for the show. Look to our Sakai site for reading attachments.
